Dear Experts,

Is it possible to configure an Email Alert such that it will send the emails to a specified role or user that is created within the system?

For example,

We have a role called "Purchase Master Manager" and a user called "Javier" (Javier has an email address called ja...@javier.com). Javier is assigned the Purchase Master Manager role.

Can we configure an alert to send to all users with the "Purchase Master Manager" role which will eventually send to ja...@javier.com since he is a Purchase Master Manager?
Can we configure an alert to send to the user Javier which will send to his email address ja...@javier.com?

Basically how would one select a user as a recipient in the Email Alerts settings area? Or must you type in email addresses manually?

I see, is it possible to select users from the user listing within the system? Or must it be a manual email address entry?

It would be really great if we could select by roles of which the system would then send it to all users whom have been assigned that role. E.g. a Purchase Order needs approval and it has to be approved by the Purchase Manager and 2 people carry this role. The system would then send an alert to those 2 people / users. Perhaps something that could be considered?

I second the suggestion by Javier, this is a much useful feature, where in an approver (be it PO ir leave or any such thing) is notified through email for pending approvals.
