Easy installation production mode will auto update?

Hi guys,

I had installed production mode using easy installation process, and i go to frappe-bench and turn off auto_update using command : bench config auto_update off , I want to ask is the frappe-bench will still go for update automatically if i do not give command to it ?

frappe-bench does not able to do the updates automatically, to update your bench you must type :bench update, otherwise your system still on the version u installed at the first time
