Hi Pratik,

I had a local file INSTALL instructions for the wnframework-modules. Added it to the svn repository now.Basic steps should work fine, But be warned, some of the function calls are probably outdated.

Hi Pratik,

This one is a bit old. What we do is we have a pre-setup sql file with the modules already loaded. (I will check it in right) now that you will have to import using install.py.... Its not very efficient but it works as of now.

Hi Pratik,

This one is a bit old. What we do is we have a pre-setup sql file with the modules already loaded. (I will check it in right) now that you will have to import using install.py.... Its not very efficient but it works as of now.

- Rushabh

Okay, so the modules exist at the variable modules_path in defs.py and their existence is known to wnframework with the hardcoded database entries itself. Am I right?

Can you share schema of the module definition tables? and I didn't find the install.py in modules trunk also.

Also, I can contribute a virtual machine with stuff setup. That can make developers try out wnframework/erpnext and hack around with it in an easier way.

Hi Pratik,

I have added a db dump into the repository "master.sql.gz" you can unzip it and restore it into the system

Also updated INSTALL.txt in wnframework-modules

Do check that too!

If you have expertise in building an installer it would be great. I was really hoping someone can do that :-)

Works like a charm now. I think that now, anybody can setup erpnext by reading the two INSTALL.txt files.

After going through the wnframework, I can now understand why dumping the database is the sanest way yet to install erpnext.

Thank you very much for the support.
