I have a requirement, when user enter any text in a field , it should search in another doctype. If doctype available, it will be linked else what ever user enter will be stored.
Kindly suggest how to achieve this
Directly I don’t think this is possible. We can define a field as Link or Data. If you set a field type as “Link”, it would have to contain LInk to a particular Doctype (Dynamic can make that selecting a Doctype in one field and selecting the document in another in linked manner).
But, only way I know is through a custom script which can work on data entry and change the type of Doc field.
Maybe someone in the community can correct me.
