Hi,
I am onto the customize form for the 'customer' - I cannot see how can we add an extra field to this form? Or is it that only existing fields can be altered?
Also if want to remove a field from the form I cannot see any option to delete that field while I am in customisation mode.

Hi,
1. customize form provides details of all fields and allows editing. To add Custom fields on form:
Goto setup -> customization -> custom field
2. Instead of deleting ,you can hide those fields by setting hidden property for that field
