Customizations - only affecting future entries?

I am under the impression that a customizing a Form only is effective for new entries and does not apply on existing ones.

Is that how it’s meant to be? Is there any routine to apppy such a customization for existing entries?

@vrms, do you need build your own code to apply these customizations in old records!

It will affect the old entries in terms adding additional field and it’s default.
