Custom naming series in Projects not working

I am trying to customize the naming of Projects from PROJ-.####
to
PR-.project_name.-.###

But it is working like example
PR-test project-001
PR-test project sample-001

The series digits are not getting update.
Is this any setting fault or issue in the erpnext.

Pls help

Also tried
format:PR-{project_name}-{###}

But the series is starting with like below
PR-Test Project-6483

How do i reset this 6483 and how did it came.
