Can we manage store items?

Hi,

I would like to know that if it is possible to manage store items. Let
me give you a stores scenario; as of now I can only think of 2 types
of store items a. Consumables & b. Non-Consumables.

a. Consumable items are purchased and are issued for production and
would be used up over a period of time. I would like to know if it is
possible to track when and how many of these consumables were issued
to a worker in a factory.

b. Non-Consumable: These items basically include items like measuring
equipments etc which are issued to the employees and are to be
maintained as being issued to them. These can be returned back to the
stores as well and therefore are not consumed.

Hi Aditya,

I think both the scenarios can be tracked by using Stock Entry.

1. To track consumables, you can create a warehouse "Consumables Issued" and every time they are used, you can make a stock entry to make the corresponding deduction from the "Consumables Issued" warehouse.

2. For non-consumables, you create a warehouse "Non - consumables Issued" and track who is using them by entering their name in remarks.
