Best way to add custom doctype info to Timeline

I’ve created a custom DocType with a relationship with Customer Doctype. I want to display my custom doctype info in the customer timeline at the end of customer’s page.

Which is the best way to do it?

I never use it but there is a hook to add to timeline:
