Amount "In Words"

Hi,

In Mexico there’s a specific structure to describe an amount for any currency, when doing invoices. For example:

USD Dollars:
$1,456,987.32 - ONE MILLION, FOUR HUNDRED FIFTY SIX THOUSAND, NINE HUNDRED EIGHTY SEVEN DOLLARS, 32/100 USD.

Pesos Mexico:
$1,456,987.32 - UN MILLON CUATROCIENTOS CINCUENTA Y SEIS MIL, NOVECIENTOS OCHENTA Y SIETE PESOS, 32/100 M.N.

This is what ERPNext does:

Something like…
$1,456,987 - MXN Un Millon Cuatrocientos Cincuenta Y Seis Mil Novecientos Ochenta Y Siete Netos…(By the way, if the amount have cents it doesn’t work)

Is it possible to adjust “In Words” as per Mexico requirements? I’m implementing on ERPNext cloud hosting… to three different companies and all asked the same.

Regards.

I think this is due to the default google translation, you can submit the correct translation at translate.erpnext.com

No, every word is perfectly translated. It’s about the order and how it’s represented the cents, not as words but as numbers. That’s why I bolded the words.

It’s more like a programming issue than translating, but I’m not sure if it could be easily adapted as per Mexico requirements.

Maybe we need a better mechanism for translating such strings, post an issue on github?

Done. Currency amount "In Words" · Issue #354 · frappe/bench · GitHub. Hope it has a prompt response.
