Restrict Users from seeing other's Leads

Hi,

I’m very new to ERPNext and i was wondering if it possible to restrict users from seeing leads/customers that they are not assigned too. I saw a post earlier that said something to do with set user restrictions then set leads but when ever i do that, it wont show anything for that user at all, ever if the lead contact next by is set to them and the assignment is set to them as well.

If anyone has any input i would greatly appreciate it!

Please see this reply, here employee sees only his own salary slip not other employees salary slip. Try something like this.

Salary Slip is Showing to other employees

When the salary slip is created by the HR user, other employee who has been assigned only role as employee are able to see their collegues payslip. Is it desinged that way or is there any settings that I have to tweak to show only their respective payslip? I tried tweaking Role permission but unable to get it right. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
