try to go through those seach results…

not 100% sure but I could imagine you might not be able to go v7 > v11 directly but rather need to do v7 > v8 > v9 > v10 > v11.

that would include doing bench switch-to-branch v8.x.x frappe erpnext --upgrade cycles until you get to the master branch again.

bench switch-to-branch v8.x.x frappe erpnext --upgrade
bench update --patch
bench setup requirements
bench --site [your-site-name] migrate
bench restart

… and so on through all the intermediate versions until you finally reach master (v11). As mentioned I am not 100% positive this is the way to do it, so maybe can someone else confirm what I am saying is the way to go?

Thank you @vrms!

I used the command bench switch-to-branch v8.x.x frappe erpnext --upgrade and got:

I managed to fix 4 database issues thanks to the following post : Bench update --patch using this command following error... how to fix it - #11 by clarkej

So now the command bench update --patch works well.

Once I type the command line bench setup requirements, I get this:

Do you have any idea on how I resolve this issue?
Thanks!

no, sorry. I did the mentioned procedure switching from the staging branch to master when v11 was released and it just worked. Now as you mention the problems you get I am thinking it could be that on the old versions of bench/frappe/erpnext the procedure may not have been exactly the same as now.

Maye you find some wisdom in this related Topic

Try this:

  • go to your bench folder
. env/bin/activate
pip uninstall pyOpenSSL cryptography
sudo pip install pyOpenSSL cryptography
