How to Scrap an Asset at a Previous Date?

Hi,

I am trying to scrap an Asset but the problem with Asset Scrapping is the following, I cannot scrap the asset at an old date. Is there a way to scrap an asset a previous date?

No, it is not possible to scrap asset on a older date. I even tried to cancel and amend the related Journal entry, but was not allowed.

But I think this should be possible since many times people forget to scrap old assets and you need to scrap them at an older date for many reasons.

You can’t cancel but you can reverse the entry then duplicate the same with the correct posting date.
