Drop-down menu in website

Hi,

How can I create the drop-down menu in website? I can't find parent label in the website setting page. Where can I find guidance?

Cheers,
August

Parent label will automatically be the top-level labels in previous rows

Hi,

How about if it doesn't appear automatically? I can see from https://laxsun.frappecloud.com that they did this successfully. But I can't figure out how to set it up. Now I have the site page and item hierarchy, but nothing can be found in the parent label when setting up the website. More support is really appreciated for this trial stage.

Cheers,
August

Hi August,

Yes, it appears automatically if you will setup the parent label. To setup the same, you can make it @

Website > Setup > Website settings > Top bar items

same problem pls give a solution for that

My parent labels come out blank. See in the image:

The same with all other navbar items.

This might help

How to have 3 layers Drop-down menu / Top Navbar ?

  1. Events
    1.1 USA
    1.1.1 2017
    1.1.2 2016
    1.2 UK

Step 1: Created “Events” without URL
Step 2 : Created USA and linked parent label to “Events”
Step 3 : Created 2017 but not able to link it to USA. (USA doesn’t have URL)

Got a solution for this, jignesh_shah?

Nopes

Bootstrap is used as an asset here. That should not render any issue for this. So, we should edit following things:

  • allow in Website Settings to have multiple level parents
  • check that the children and grandchildren are using html classes that suits for bootstrap framework
  • possible css edits (if not already available due to bootstrap)

Actually the most practical would be to be able to populate from the Item Group Tree these top bar menu items automatically and then make changes for it as needed. But that information is out of the current scenario, maybe too big change.
