Discrepancies between Print output and PDF output

There are major differences between output documents generated by clicking ‘Print’ button and ‘PDF’ button. Using print feature generates pretty much consistent results, WYSIWYG-compliant (people still say that btw.?) . One can obviously choose PDF printer as output, which then generates a correct PDF, albeit with sometimes missing footer. Clicking ‘PDF’ however results in totally different (and pretty much always mangled) documents. Different word-wraping, 2 pages instead of 1, different font styles etc…

From doing searches on the Internet, I’m not the only one noticing this.
Any ideas where to start looking for a fix?

Thanks for your reply.

As usual in such topics, I probably couldn’t care less about HTML view, but PDFs are what is being distributed to customers and suppliers. I’m not sure how would one design a proper template – I can’t seem to determine any consistency :frowning:

Oh well, I’ll look into this some more, since “it’s a feature, not a bug”

I installed fonts by using this command, this solved the fonts issue in pdf, it may help you too

sudo apt-get install ttf-mscorefonts-installer

raghu9’s suggestion helped a lot. There are still some margin differences, but it’s a start. Thank you
